Upon application of devices based on new generation thermoelectric systems offered by TERMIONA becomes reality the useful utilization of areas that amount to 25 percent of the entire globe territory (i.e. the permafrost regions), safe implementation therein the appropriate civil engineering projects inclusive. Owing to new opportunities opened by know-how developed by TERMIONA, i.e. the creation of non-ceramic thermoelectric systems, the problem of locking devices for installation on heat pipes in permafrost conditions may be easily and efficiently solved.
It should be noted that in permafrost areas practically all residential and industrial projects are erected on piles. Point-bearing piles in their structures are bearing the relevant loads owing to soil congelation whereas in process of their defrostation the piles bearing capacity is diminishing.
To prevent the effect above mentioned the appropriate holes are drilled in which heat pipes are installed that provide proper frosting ground during winter season by means of pumping out heat from close-to-pile space into outer environment. During the summer season when the environmental temperature exceeds 0oC, to cease heat transfer the upper end of heat pipe shall be cooled below water freezing point. TERMIONA thermal electricity system installed on the upper pipe end may perform functions of the distinctive thermal flow “switch”.
Hence the application of CERATOM® technology for manufacturing one of heating conduits in kind of nut screwed directly on the relevant heat pipe provides visible competitive advantages in comparison with any other thermal electricity heating conduits whatsoever. In the meantime the second heating conduit of the subject thermal electricity system may be manufactured in kind of heat radiator for installation therein the appropriate cooler thus providing great benefits in terms of installation easiness and overall simplification of the entire heat system.
